We offer a superior quality of Block Board that are unlike any other engineered woods like plywood, particle boards or MDF (Medium Density Fiber board). The most basic difference in our offered board in comparison to the other boards is its composition which is formed of solid blocks of wood at its core. These wooden blocks are sandwiched between single or multiple layers of wood veneer at the front side as well as backside. This process of making is what creates a variance in Block Boards, imparting distinct characteristics and functionality to it.
For a clearer understanding of the product, here are a few advantages of Blockboard that are discussed below:
- Light weight of the board: The solid blocks at the core are made from soft wood of trees such as cedar, pine or mango. The wood obtained from these trees are lighter which reduces the overall weight of the board. This makes it easy to transport and ideal for making doors
- Does not sag or bend easily: Long pieces of wood usually tend to bend from the middle portion. But our blockboard is stiff and less prone to bending as it is formed of smaller blocks at its kernel. This makes it highly suitable for making furniture such as benches, tables, shelves and panels.
- Less costing: Softwood costs lesser than hardwood and our blockboards are also made of softwood. This leads to the cheaper rates of blockboards over solid wood plywood which are made of hardwood.
- Preferred over Particle Board or MDF: This is because blockboard outdoes every other board in strength and durability. Carpenters also prefer working with our blockboards as they are easier to work with and can take screws and nails easily without breaking apart.
